I would rate the assembly as a bit harder than average, but (in my opinion) the reason for this is because it is very, very well made (and heavy). After assembly you will have what I feel to be the most well made, attractive, sturdy, and quiet (except for wind noise which... whatcha gonna do?) fan on the market. This is a great buy and works great as well as being much cheaper than one that I purchased from Restoration Hardware. |

The Honeywell was bar far the better quality unit, even though it was between the price ranges of the other two. The fan motors did not have an annoying hum like the Holmes model. And instead of the extension that clumsily slips on the left of the other two units I tested, the Honeywell model had built-in extensions in both sides. |

(My Model #: HY-047B) From my experience of using several tower fans, this Honeywell product is excellent. It pushes a lot of air quietly and oscillates in a wider angle compared to the tower fan from Lasko. Its look is decent but if you prefer a fancier fan, I would recommend Lasko 42" Wind Curve though it doesnt circulate as much air. |

Has an oscillating feature, a "sleep" mode and, most importantly: a drain plug, washable filter element and a plastic body that cannot rust like those made of sheet metal or tin. Its been in the high 90s to the low 100s here in the San Fernando Valley in CA with low humidity and its kept whatever room it is in cool enough to not have to turn on the AC. |

I fully intend on getting another one for the downstairs. It has an odor sensor and remote control. I can tell a difference in the air quality and I have to dust less. The 3 types of filters are prefilter, true hepa filter and plasmawave technology which means it kills bacteria and viruses with an electromagnetic field. I was happy to get such a nice volume filtration unit at a low price. It is light and fairly slim and really pumps the air through. |
